| Julio Gomez is the most well-known choreographer in Dominican Republic. He won the Cassandra-prize (Dominican Oscar prize) with his dance choreographies. He has created most of the dance choreographies of the bachata, merengue and tipico artists in Dominican Republic. |

| Julio Gomez is also welknown musician, composer and singer. He dances and teaches Bachata, Merengue, Tipico and Salsa. He invented the MerenHouson dance. Julio has his own revue. |
